    I've been naughty, so please be nice :)

    Or something. The biggest shopping day of the year is the day after Thanksgiving, so I'm posting shopping ideas the day BEFORE Thanksgiving.

    For Mia: She's wearing 18-24mos stuff right now...growing into 2T for the spring probably. She's 31 inches tall and 25 lbs. if that helps. Mia is a Virgo and enjoys long walks and Baby Einstein anything (although you should check with me on the DVD selections because she has quite a few titles!!).

    For me: Gift cards/certificates for Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 are perfect. I'm also still accepting donations via Paypal for car repairs and now legal assistance.

    Bad Hair Day...and many to follow.

    The last time I got my haircut was June. I totaled my car. I didn't feel like making the drive to Portsmouth, so I went up to Rudy & Kelly at Lynnhaven Mall. Ureeni cut my hair. I said I wanted side bangs and a trim. She added a layer that basically went all the way around my head and was long enough to give me bangs and somewhat of a "bowl mullet", if you will. She styled it, and I couldn't really tell what had happened, so I went home, washed it and started getting ready for work. Well. I started to style it and realized that Houston, we do, in fact, have a problem. The more I tried, the more frustrated I got and I called Hooters and call in with a bad hair day. My manager thought I was kidding, but I was crying and I got permission to skip work to get my hair fixed...I guess he figured out that I wasn't joking. Anyway, I went back up there and asked for my $30 back and explained to the front desk girl and 5 other stylists what had happened. Louis, my savior, asked if he could look at my hair and see what Ureeni did. He explained that she basically tried to "shag me out" and that I couldn't do anything with it because she hadn't layered it ENOUGH in the back so I could flip it out...and she had given me too many bangs to allow me to do anything in the front. He fixed my hair by layering it more in the back and I have basically the same haircut I USED to have...when I wanted short hair. I got my $30 back ($20 after his tip) I got my hair fixed, and I got complimentary bottles of shampoo and conditioner.

    Ureeni is lucky Louis is so good at HIS job, because her hands wouldn't have grown back as quickly as my hair will.

    I'm planning on calling about that tomorrow. I went to the doctor today...I have the skin prickles, the fever, the pain in the sinuses...the congestion. All that awful stuff. The last time I was this sick was the last time Mia spent time with Shawn at his mother's house. His was over this weekend (he moved back the Beach) visiting with the girl and lo and behold, I am sick as a dizzawg.

    I went to the doctor and he ran down my signs & symptoms and gave me an Rx for the Zithromax Z-pack (antibiotic) and some Allegra-D tabs...but he didn't tell me what exactly was ailing me. He didn't do a strep test, either. Odd. That started bothering me in the car on the way to Target to fill the Rx, but I'm so desperate to feel better, I started the meds anyway.

    I'd rather get the finger.

    But instead, he read my palm. I posted about this awhile ago. I try not to pay attention to what he told me, but when I start seeing someone new...I think, 'Could this be my future ex-husband?' That's no good. I don't like that after I do get married for the first (and hopefully only) time, I'll be wondering if my life will really turn out the way my hand says it will.

    It's been on my mind lately. Because with the guy I'm seeing now...the second date didn't mean a relationship per se...we're just both willing to head in that direction.

    My palm is my poison and my imagination is becoming toxic.

    Two and a half dates, too nice, the only "to" that's missing

    is to the curb. The 2.5th date guy is the proverbial "too nice" guy. I know, nice guys finish last blah blah blah.

    This guy is ANNOYINGLY nice.

    Some examples:
    What's wrong?
    Are you mad at me?
    I'm sorry.     (with nothing to apologize for)
    I love spending time with you.
    I like everything about you.     (and these ARE direct quotes)
    Can I have a kiss? (he asks for kisses in public and in small groups of people...my answer every time: no)

    We were supposed to be taking things one day at a time and he was doing well, calling 2 or 3 times a week, hanging out whenever. But now I feel I've been sucked into some sort of pseudo-relationship gone horribly horribly wrong. I'll be updating you all on this situation as it unfolds.

    Blissfully "Alone."

    I will never actually be alone again. Not in the real sense of the word. Mia can go to daycare, or to school, but she'll still be there. I'll always have my Mia. But it's been a long time since I've had a guy in my life that wanted to call me every day and see me every day and I'm really not sure I'm going to handle this very well. More often than not, I really just enjoy putzing around the house...picking up the occasional toy...indulging in As the World Turns...just being alone with Mia. She is pretty independent...she amuses herself, I'm sure, more often than I ever did. It would be a joke if I were to call myself independent...I live at home...I still rely heavily on my mom for, well basically, everything. I enjoy the company. I don't want to move out. I couldn't really afford to yet even if I did want to.

    I had a point to make when I sat down to write this post, but it seems to have escaped me.

    Let me try this one on for size: I really like where I'm at...I just need to find away to let other people join me.
