It involved my 18 month old hurling her Fisher Price telephone at Stella (our dog). Not so good times.

Celebrate good times?

I'm going out tonight. Ugh. When did this 22-year-old (good looking) girl start dreading going out?

Let me answer my own question:

1. Since I started going to bed at 9-10 o'clock (8 if I fall asleep with Mia).
2. Since I have no "extra" money (Does ANYONE really have EXTRA money?)
3. Since people started going out on THURSDAYS (Who DOES that??)
4. Since I started dating a Navy guy that happens to have duty on all major birthdays (MINE, Liz's whose we'll be "celebrating" tonight)
5. Since people started hanging out downtown Norfolk (excellent destination for the financially challenged...yeah, right)
6. Since birthdays became SUCH a big deal that you have to go out ON your EXACT birthday (Oooooooooh)

So yeah. Back to cleaning. Then to bed for Mia. Then to the beautifying process for me (which takes all of 3 minutes, wink wink).

The "Twins."

The augmented Hooter girl worked last night. I worked yesterday during the day, so I met the "twins." As far as boob jobs go, they look nice...but on her body? She IS a small girl. It just looks weird because now "her" boobs are actually wider than her frame and it looks totally weird to me.

I poked one of them, too. They're pretty hard...not very natural. I asked her if she was doing those exercises you're supposed to do after you get them done (I guess to make sure the muscle settles around them correctly??) and she said, "No. That will make them soft and saggy, I want them to be hard." That's disgusting. If I understand correctly though, even augmented breasts get saggy and they need to be replaced or lifted ever 10-12 years for maintenance.

Whatever. $4,000 is a lot of money. After seeing hers, I can't say I would pay the same amount of money to get the same product.

Here's how it unfolded:

Tuesday: In Insurance & Coding, we were given a 143-question study guide for our 50-question exam Thursday (today). I DID my 143-question study guide AND read Chapters 1 & 2 (70 pages), highlighting and underlining where necessary. I knew I was going to be going out for St. Patrick's Day on Wednesday to celebrate my "Irish-ness" and I didn't want to be left unprepared for my exam.

Wednesday: There are 3 people in our Insurance & Coding class that don't also have that instructor for our Monday and Wednesday class. I am one of those 3 people. So after school, I tracked down the instructor and showed him my completed study guide and asked for an answer key so I could make SURE I was studying from the correct information. NO PROBLEM. Well, apparently he had gone over the study guides in his class that day and didn't have the answer key immediately available and they just went over it without the FOR-SURE-GUARANTEED-TO-BE-CORRECT answers. I should mention that only ONE PERSON in that class ACTUALLY DID THE STUDY GUIDE. The rest of them just wrote down all the answers discussed in class.

I go home, correct my study guide, study some more, and go out to celebrate with the rest of the Irish people...and a few people that only wish they're Irish.


Thursday: EXAM DAY. I got a 98%. I missed 1 question out of 50. The rest of the class that did NOT do the study guide for themselves: not so good. These a**holes whined and complained so much about being given the "wrong answers" that our teacher agreed to throw out 9 of the questions. I now have a 100% that I don't deserve. So do about 11 or 12 other people.

I got a 98% because I did the study guide, I read the chapters THOROUGHLY and sought OUT the CORRECT answers to the study guide. I didn't take the word of a teacher that was reading answers off of some student's study guide. (I should mention that many of her answers were disputed on Wednesday and no one really thought it would be smart to recheck ALL the REST of them). So now these numbskulls are getting the SAME grade as me and none of them deserve it.

Our teacher passed out a new study guide today for Chapters 3 & 4 (exam Tuesday). I have already read and highlighted and underlined Chapter 3 and half of 4. And I WILL do the study guide tomorrow night (I know, I'm a dork doing homework on a Friday, but Rus has duty, so whatever). This time, our teacher passed out THE answer key with the study guides. And the same fudgers that were whining and complaining about getting the wrong answers said, "Oh, cool. Now we don't have to do the study guides. We can just study from the answers." RIGHT FOLKS. It's a STUDY guide. Not a MEMORIZE THE CRAP LONG ENOUGH TO PASS THE EXAM guide.

These people totally annoy me.

Too bad it didn't happen to me...I could use some breasts to match my buns...but anyway.

I work with this girl. She is skin and bones and Cs were going to to look ridiculous anyway, but double Ds. Whoa. I haven't seen her (them) yet. Apparently, the botched job won't be fixed...which only makes me wonder. Was it REALLY a mistake? I would assume that if you asked for Cs and got DDs, the doctor would be somehow obligated to fix them...unless of course you're a total moron and signed some sort of waiver.

OR

Maybe she asked for DDs and they look totally stupid and now HER mistake is being blamed on the Dr. so she doesn't look like a even bigger idiot than we originally thought.

Hmph.

Feeling more at home.

[d] was right when he said something was missing from the header...my "stock photo," he called it. Per his criticism and advice, I've personalized the header and hopefully my site feels a little more cozy for y'all, too :) Thanks Stinson (and everyone else) for the title suggestion(s)!!

In other "news," I finished Pharmacology with a 98.4%...and hopefully Medical Office Admin. rounded out about the same way. Being that that teacher was so ANAL about following the syllabus to the letter, who knows how my attendance (or lack thereof) will affect my grade. Next mod I have Pathophysiology and Medical Billing and Coding. Thrillsville...see Archives dated Aug 2002-February 2003 for stories from my JOB in medical billing and coding. It won't be 8 hours a day with Jojo, but it WILL be 5 hours a day, two days a week with 80s Glamazon and the psycho-woman from Pharm. that yelled at me for saying her hamburger smelled like beef. Goodtimes.

Day 3.

It's Day 3 without Rus and I'm doing okay. I've emailed him on the ship about 6 times...but who doesn't love email, right!?

Only two more days of school this week. I'm dreading tomorrow. At least Thursday is only a "half-day".

Next mod we have Pathophysiology and something else, hopefully a BS class like computer apps or something. I wouldn't mind surfing around for 5 hours...they can keep their 15 minute breaks! Suckers.

And hey, Mr. C, we better be having field trips or yoga or something in class...I don't know if I can take 5 hours of notes.

**Note to self** There is no way we'll have field trips OR yoga...buy stock in papermate...and Smith & Wesson.

  • My school hours have changed to M-Th 8am-1pm...1 class for FIVE HOURS on M&W and then the other for FIVE HOURS on Tu&Th. BLECHHHHHHHH.
