If Meghan hasn't just been here to visit, I'm sure she'd be nagging me about posting.

Mia spent 2 nights over at her grandma's house the weekend before Meghan and Elek arrived (not MY mom, obviously...she does that every night). After her nights in Hampton, it was "so long big girl bed, helllloooo Mommy!" I missed her anyway, so we started at square one. A few nights on the air mattress together in her room. Then a few nights her bed with me on the mattress. And finally, last night, Mia slept in her room, and I slept in mine.

I have to attribute part of last night's success to some advice Laura gave me nearly a year and a half ago. Mia went down easily at first, but called me a couple times for some necessities: water, kleenex, and kissies and huggies. I did the whole 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 8 minutes, etc. thing and oddly enough, those are about the exact times she called me in. After the 8 minute mark wait, I brought in her pink Little Tykes Little People "horsie" (unicorn) and I didn't hear a peep after that. My baby girl has a security blanket :) How cute!

...I'll be buying a couple more of those pink unicorns tomorrow and keeping them for emergencies!!

In totally UNRELATED news, hold off on the suprise party for your next birthday celebration...it can actually kill you.
