I changed my poll today. Just for all you people that voted, Chloe Jane finished first, then Olivia Arden, then Estella Blue, then Mia Manhattan rounding it out with only 1 vote. I decided not to torture my child with your poor taste :) and I'll just pick her name myself. But who didn't know that was going to happen?

Don't ask me why I am watching Growing Pains when it is so nice outside. But this episode (#53; Who's Zoomin' Who?) is particularly interesting. Carol was just talking to a young man played by Brad Pitt. And Brad was rockin a mullet AND a bomber jacket. HOTT!! His mullet-tude was not his own on this episode; Ben & Mike were also rockin fine mullets.

Another interesting fact about Brad Pitt and Growing Pains. He played two different characters on the show for two different episodes.

I just met my neighbor today. He's a nice guy going through a divorce. Apparently his wife of 19 years has left him for a long distance relationship...with a woman. They had 4 kids together and I was told one of the boys has a crush on me and brags to his friends that he lives next door to a Hooters' Girl. It's nice to have good neighbors and it's more fun to have interesting ones so I guess we're doing okay. Maybe after I know them a little better I'll be able to tell my friends I live next to a Springer family. :)

I got lost on the way to the impound lot today (not to get my car, just to get things out of my car...like I have THAT kind of money. HA!) I had to stop and get directions from a man with no thumbs...I got lost, but I don't think that had anything to do with the thumbs.

Can someone PLEASE tell me when things are supposed to get better? We all remember my car getting impounded, right? Well, today on the way to work (actually less than 30 feet from the garage entrance) I got pulled over but a Norfolk cop. Of course it wasn't one of the cops that comes into Hooters all the time, it was a fat jerk-off cop who I've never seen before. And of course I'm driving Baby's Daddy's car and it has an expired city sticker, an expired inspection sticker and I can't find his registration, all this added to the fact that my license is suspended. Soooooooo.....I got FOUR tickets today and I wasn't even driving my car. Things just are not looking up for this Hootress.

I'm trying a homemade facial right now. It has banana, sour cream, and honey in it. It smells pretty good. I'm not sure what it's supposed to do, but I'm bored so I thought I'd try it. I have to wait 10 minutes before I wash it off...

10 minutes later... My skin feels smooth and looks very refreshed, not a bad mask. I know how Fatty feels though...I smell like a cheesecake.

Word to the wise....because it's definitely not FROM the wise. Pay parking tickets before they accumulate and your car gets impounded and you have to borrow your Baby's Daddy's car and postpone your life until you can get it back.

Kids seriously don't think twice about ringing my doorbell. Last week I had 3 kids between the ages of 10 and 15 ring my doorbell 5 times in 20 minutes. First they wanted to borrow the Classifieds section. Then they wanted to know if I was in the 2002 Hooters calendar (I had been wearing my uniform shirt the first time they came to the door, and no, I'm not in the calendar). 5 minutes later they actually had a copy of the calendar with them and wanted it signed. The 4th time they just rang and ran and finally the youngest came to the door to inform me that her brother had a Hooters shirt on. Neat. Today, a couple minutes ago actually, I had to let the little boy at my front door know that no one going by the name "Courviosier" stays here.

Props to my cousin Robert for being featured in Cleveland's Plain Dealer Sunday Magazine. For my Virginian friends who don't know about the Plain Dealer, an estimated 1.1 million people read the publication each Sunday! The PD is also ranked in the top 25 newspapers of the US. Double propage to "My Cousin the Phantom"...might be a movie someday.


Another interesting trip to the Dr.'s office today...my appointment was at 1:30 and I waited a lovely 90 minutes to be seen. Once inside, Dr. Vaughan was wonderful and saw me right away (no waiting on a cold table). The baby's heartbeat is very strong and so nice to hear. All my blood tests have come back normal, so that's a blessing too. Dr. Vaughan requested that I make my next appt. for 4 wks. from today and that's where the problems began. I went to the appt. desk and Homegirl Behind the Counter realized Dr. Vaughan won't be in the office on the Tuesday 4 wks. from today and called the Dr. on her phone and asked if she preferred I make my appt. a week earlier or a week later. The doctor suggested a week earlier...and that happens to be my birthday. So I said, "Absolutely not. Every time I come in here I wait and wait and wait and I'm not doing that on my birthday. A week later would be better for me." So Homegirl gets up and checks with the good Doctor and the Doctor says "NO PROBLEM." As she's sitting herself down, Homegirl says, "They said no problem, but that's on you, it's you and yo baby." And yes, she said "yo baby." So thanks for your "concern" (and extreme lack of tact) Homegirl, but my baby and I are just fine. And you can check with the doctor on that one, too.

If anyone from the great "city" of Bay Village is reading my website right now, I'd like to share some gossip. Rochelle Garcia, Class of '99 (same as me), is expecting her first child in September (same as me). She was set to be married in September (to that same guy she was dating in high school...Cory Something), but apparently the wedding date has been rescheduled for an unknown date in July. Congratulations Rochelle.


Just in time for the release of Star Wars.
