Today has been a good day so far. Shawn, Chris and Amy (Chris' girl) came over to visit Mia. As soon as Shawn stepped into the door, Mia was in his arms. He's still a little nervous about holding her, but he seemed happy to do it and she was content (and asleep) in his arms. I had positive hopes for the rest of the day as they were leaving and BabyKeeper was still expected to show. And show she did. Tell me if you have ever seen this: Baby gets fussy, Mom tries to save baby explaining that Baby is hungry and due for lunch, BabyKeeper LIFTS baby UP and AWAY from Mom and refuses to unhand the tormented infant...

So my car overheated today. I think that would be the third time in almost a year. My mom was driving it...unfortunate for her, but I'm happy Mia was home with me. Anyway. I need a new car. We're going to pay to have it fixed this time (as long as it's not TOO expensive) and then I'm going to be keeping my eyes peeled for something else. It's a good little car, but not reliable enough for infant passengers. D'oh.


I did it for 4 minuntes and 31.07 seconds...then Mia beckoned from her cradle.

In other news...Bunny has joined the team over at Pick Up Your Own Damn Socks. It's a pretty entertaining blog authored by disgruntled wives, daughter-in-laws, etc. Check it out.


Aunt Seester and Bunny know who I'm referring to in this post, but I'm asking for a tidbit of advice from the masses. To anyone who has kids: have you ever encountered a "baby keeper"? If you're not sure what I mean by "baby keeper," here's an example (I wish I could say it was hypothetical): at the hospital we had a visitor that was holding Mia and the visitor asked everyone ELSE in the room if they wanted to hold my baby. They all said, "No...no, you go ahead," even though this person had been holding her for a very long time. I didn't get asked so I spoke up and said, "I'll hold my baby!!" To which the BabyKeeper replied, "No, you're the mom." Uh, yeah, that's the point. I'm the mom...meaning, I carried Mia for 9+ mos. (for those of you that didn't know: she was actually LATE according to the doctor). If anyone has holding rights to her 2 day old baby, it IS the mom. DUH! The BabyKeeper has also made plans to visit the baby on 4 occasions and has not yet followed through. So...I'm kinda wondering, because the BabyKeeper is going to be in the baby's life (whenever it's convenient), how do I tactfully take care of the situation? I need to remind the BabyKeeper exactly who Mia's Mama IS...ME.

I should point out that while the characteristics of the BabyKeeper might lead some of you to believe that it's Shawn...it's not. Sharing Mia with him is not a problem. The problem is when someone OTHER than Shawn refers to Mia as "our baby." I had this baby with his help...not the BabyKeeper's.

We had Mia's first non-scheduled appt. with the doctor this evening. I was concerned about her left eye...it's been draining a little more than the right one and I got nervous!! The doctor said it's normal and to massage her sinus area up to the corner of her eye and it should clear up. Thank goodness for that.

I got an e-mail from Shawn today. It's been a couple days since he was here to see Mia, and he just wanted to check and see how we were doing. Reassuring :)

Paypal. It's a topic: you've seen the "paypal button" on random sites asking for donations for one thing or another. I had a donation button on my site for a few weeks allowing readers to donate to the baby's college fund which will be set up at my bank at soon as I get her SS#...USPS: where ARE you? I got the idea from Michael's site. He has a button for college tuition donations, also. No money was donated with my button but I wouldn't donate to a button either. How do you know where the money is really going? PromoGuy added a "PenCam for PromoGuy" button to his site in a half-serious response to SaveKaryn.com. I can believe that Promo actually wants a PenCam and that he'd be happy to get donations and he'd more than likely buy a PenCam with his donations...should he ever get any...good luck gettin' paid, pal :). But what about these people?? Karyn started her site $20,000 in the hole, and with her own funds, e-bay sales, and donations from net-idiots, she has come up with over $11,000 since June 23rd. Kudos to Karyn for having the idea, but to those that are donating....are you CRAZY? Then there's "Penny". She's asking for donations to help pay for nursing school and, get this, a divorce. She says her husband is aware of the site and doesn't mind. He's "a great guy." Great. If he's so "great," he probably won't be contesting the divorce. The last time I checked, an uncontested divorce can cost as little as, or less than $300. Penny: don't save Karyn, save pennies. Finally, there's the homeless guy. He's homeless. Donate money (I don't plan to...I've got my own homeless fund). His site is well-written and can be seen as a public service, offering a peek into a world that a lot of his readers will never experience. The homeless guy takes his donations to the laundromat and to BK, were he apparently enjoys finer dining than he would at his local mission. Credibility?? The homeless guy has a free site through blogspot. But Karyn and Penny both have their own domain...and if the Internet Deity were actually GIVING those away, I'd have one, too. What gives?

It's been awhile...last Monday I was in labor at the time I would normally be typing up the responses to the MM. But here it is, PromoGuy's Monday Mission 2.38: 1. When I was young, my Mom would always drink a cold Dr. Pepper in the morning. Me, I can go either way. I like a Cold Frappucchino in the Summer months and switch to warm Mocha Espresso in the Fall. Do you like to drink warm beverages in the morning or do you prefer yours cold? I prefer a citrus juice in the morning...either MinuteMaid OJ or MinuteMaid Lemonade. 2. Have you ever been so upset with someone that you wanted to get revenge? What did you do? Or if you didn't, what would you like to have done? "Payback is a bitch." HA! 3. Sometimes I can look back at my past and see so many things that I was too naive to take advantage of. A time where I could have moved ahead in my career if only I'd chosen to move, the High School girlfriend who said she would do anything if I just asked, and so on. Looking back, are there any opportunities you missed out on that you can see now but didn't realize then? Hindsight is always 20/20. But every decision that I've made in the past has brought me exactly to where I am today, and I am happy with that. 4. Today I tried on my black slacks, and they are just a skosh too tight (yeah it's a real word, look it up). Of course, I wore them anyway. Are there any clothes you refuse to throw away even though they don't (and never will) fit? Why do you keep them? I donate the clothes I'll never wear again to GoodWill. Getting rid of clothes is always a good excuse to buy new clothes :) 5. Although my speech classes eliminated most if it, I still have a little Okie accent left. I say "Git" instead of "Get" and "Collar" instead of "Color." Do you have an accent? Are there any phrases or words you say that tip folks that "you aren't from around these parts?" Some people say that I sound Canadian...some people guess that I'm from Michigan or Pennsylvania...I guess people forget about Ohio. But I've been told that my "a" is a little shorter than those people that have Southern accents. One thing about Virginia Beach, though, is that a lot of people that live here aren't from here originally. So it was mainly tourists that came in to Hooters expecting a Southern Belle in lycra shorts that said anything about it. 6. Speaking of phrases, it really drives me nuts when folks say "very unique" (Unique has no degrees, it is either unique or it isn't) or "irregardless" (not a real word). Are there any words folks misspell or incorrect uses of words that simply drive you insane? I hate it when people mix up "your" and "you're." It's so ANNOYING. Another thing I've noticed down south is that in place of "blah, blah, blah" or "yadda, yadda, yadda," some people say "blasé, blasé, blasé." I HATE that. 7. I am guilty of using pet names a bit too often, like "honey," "babe," and "sweetie." However, currently, no one uses any pet names on me (and I think I'd like one). Are there any pet names that you like to be called? Any you don't? Do you (or did you) have any pet names for your partner? I used to call Shawn "My Shawn." I don't like "honey," "babe," OR "sweetie." They're too generic. BONUS: Why you so fly? Uh, have you SEEN me? I'm SUPA-FLY.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I am in the market for a digital camera. Welp, now I want a digital camcorder. I have selected 3 models in my price range at BestBuy.com and would like some input from anyone that knows anything about digital camcorders and stuff like that. If you know ANYTHING about it, you know more than me :) Here are the 3 models: 1, 2, 3. Or if you can suggest something similar that is $500 or less...that would be great. I am looking for something that can take still photos also. And someone please explain the difference between the formats...MiniDV, Digital8, Digital...huh? Remember: the sooner I get my camcorder :) the sooner you all get to see more of the beautiful little face I see everyday :)

Ew. There was a HUGE spider in the kitchen...and my mom killed it with a shoe...and all these little baby spiders came out and started crawling around. Je deteste spiders.


Exciting news!! AuntSeester and Uncle Brian are coming to visit! How exciting!! They will be here the last week of October and that works out great because I'm going back to work the first Monday of November.

In other news :) (I'm a broadcaster today), Mia smiled. BUT she was sleeping...and I'm pretty sure it might have been a side effect of gas... but it was cute and I snapped a picture. And speaking of pictures, everyone has been requesting MORE photos :) And I have them, but they're on a roll right now unfortunately. We're getting a digital camera sometime in the next few weeks...so keep your diapers, uh, panties on :)

Mia had her first check-up this morning. I guess when mothers choose to breastfeed, it's customary to have a one week check-up to make sure the baby is gaining weight. She weighs 7lbs. 12oz. right now, and the nurse that weighed her was very pleased. I guess babies usually lose weight before they start gaining it and Mia is doing "just perfectly!!" And...she has "just GREAT, BEAUTIFUL color." She's got another check-up next week and then one at 2 months. Crazy doctors...she's just fine...they just want to be lucky enough to look at her again soon!!

In my last post, I was correct in saying that I was redoing my site...but as it is now, Bunny has pretty much taken over. YAY! Just wanted to say THANKS!!

Is anyone else's blogger going crazy? I'm getting all kinds of crazy errors. I had to redo my ShoutBox because I got an e-mail saying that Colleen got banned from it for making too many posts or something?? I tried to undo it and realized that I had no idea what my username or password was. So new username + new password = new shoutbox. Also, I am redoing my site, so bear with me. Please!!


Wow. Aunt Seester is making some pretty bold statements on her site. I believe the implication is that I am a "name stealer" and hand-picked my daughter's name from HER name list. Aunt Seester is the bestest aunt in the whole wide world, BUT she is also mistaken. So in reply, Aunt Seester, recall our coversation last night when the subject came up and the ORIGINAL coversation was referenced: it was shortly after I learned I was pregnant and was thinking of names for BOTH sexes. Mia Elizabeth was one of the first one's I came up with and upon telling you the name...you said, "that's MY name." I was the first to say it out loud and that's why it wasn't yours and now it's my daughter's. Sidenote: When I read AuntSeester's post and said "Auntie Meghan is a freak," Mia got upset. She already loves her Auntie Meghan, and I do too!!

My day today started bright and early as I had to be at Hooters by 8am for our "store meeting." As of the end of August, all of our managers were new...and I guess they just wanted to let us know before they overhaul the restaurant and make it their own. I'm not planning on returning to Hooters after my leave time is up, but so far they don't know that. The meeting was mandatory and it's always much better to quit a job and leave amicably than to be fired. So...I'll quit sometime soon.

My mom and I went to the mall today to get "nursing bras" for me. They're not hot. But I guess bra manufacturers figure that if you are in a position to be purchasing nursing bras, you're not really in a position to be trying to look hot. They figured wrong, but I still needed them, so I picked up 2.

Oh I skipped the part of my day when a police officer approached my mom and I as we were getting into my car parked in our driveway to ask us if we had seen who had parked the conversion van on the other side of the street. We mentioned that the car belonged to the neighbors (the ones obsessed with Hooters) and the cop replied, "Okay, but did you see who was driving it before it was parked?" Hm. No. Believe it or not, I don't sit in front of the window and stare. The cop went to the neighbor's house and was knocking on the door as we pulled away. The van WAS parked facing the wrong direction on the street, but I doubt that would have been cause for him to seek the driver...a ticket would have sufficed had that been the case. I'm thinking it's suspected to have been involved in a crime...or suspected underage driving (at any given time there are 4 kids running in and out of that house). I wonder if OfficerCousin can think of anything else that would motivate the PD to find the driver of the van, not just the owner. Maybe the owner is WANTED! Scandalous :)

I'm waiting for my pizza to get here. I shouldn't be doing that. My mom went to the grocery store yesterday; at least, that's what she claimed. I guess GOING to the store to look at the pretty things on the shelves might be different than actually going AND buying the pretty things on the shelves. It's funny because we seriously had NO food in the house for a week and a half and I managed to fill up on everything from spaghetti to pizza bagels (sometimes you have to get creative). But now that she's "been to the store," I have lemonade to warm my ice cubes to the perfect chewing density, but no food. And Papa John's is not cheap. $15.99 for a large pizza with The Works? They're lucky I'm pregnant because I have a feeling that if I wasn't, I'd be perfectly content with the $5.99 LARGE pepperoni carry-out special from Chanello's.

I know my mom reads my site regularly, so uh, "YO MA! I'm starvin' 'ere! What happened to the Pasta Roni I put on the grocery list?"


Hi-ho, Hi ho, you guessed it, it's off to work I go. It's 5:45am and I just got out of the shower. It's the 14th, still no sign of my baby (unless you miss the huge sign I haven't yet painted on my belly). I DO have to give the little one a pat on the proverbial back (otherwise, I'd be patting my stomach) for trying. I had contractions ALL DAY yesterday and several SHARP hurty ones. But alas, I stayed alone. Not really. I picked up Shawn after work and we picked up the crib and assembled that. Okay, so I just watched, but he did a really good job at following the directions! Then he put together the mobile and re-arranged the furniture in the the kiddie's room to my liking. I'm so pleased. We ate a pizza and watched The Time Machine. I think he said it was the 3rd version of the book by H G Wells that's been made. Anyway it stars Samantha Mumba (remember she had a song that was popular once upon a time??) and Guy Pearce (from Memento, if you remember it, HA!). Usually that kinda flick isn't for me, I'm not down with the whole "time travel scene." But I loved it and I recommend it highly. 4 stars, Baby! (Out of 5). I'm rambling now...like I said, off to work I go.....

At the suggestion (sort of) of PromoGuy, I have added a commenting system to the site. Some of you might recall that I did have enetation for a hot minute...but it didn't work properly and it slowed up the load time of the site, thus it was removed. So...as the button on the right site of my site indicates...I got this system *free* through haloscan.com.

Still no baby news today...I'm due in less than a week, though. Isn't that crazy? Things are going unbelievably well and I can't wait to spend some MORE qt with my cutie...outside the womb. :) I'm a dork, we know this. Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. Maybe the superstitiously unlucky day will be my baby's (and my) lucky day!

Things to look forward to this weekend: 1. Giving birth (fingers ARE crossed) and 2. the new season of the Sopranos beginning on Sunday. WOOHOO!


Just out of curiosity, would any of you people call someone that was pregnant and expecting any day, or for all you know, could have had her baby (you haven't talked to this person in 4 months) at 11:30pm? What if she had had the baby and you called at that time? Or what if she was asleep and 8.75 mos pregnant (when sleep is impossible unless you spend the 30 minutes it takes to find the perfect position)? I'm unplugging the phone in my room. If anyone that reads this site has an emergency between 10pm and 630am, it's going to have to wait. Sorry.

Everyone: My OB appointment went well. My baby is in "perfect position"...I already knew that. But the doctor said it out loud today. I gained 4lbs since last week and the doctor speculated that the increase was most likely due to water retention :( My ankles are swollen. D'oh.

The country is on "high alert" tomorrow. What a "mudder-feekin" (Bunny) surprise.

On a more positive note: I have a job to return to at the lab after I take the "Mommy & Baby" time off. I ran into the VP of the lab while I was getting more ice cubes for the afternoon and he said he'd heard that I've been doing VERY well and suggested that I talk to the head of billing about getting a permanent position for my antenatal work situation, or something. Anyway, I talked to the billing bosslady and she said that would be great, they'd love to have me come back. The job will be 8a-430p M-F. With the permanent status, I will get a pay increase and full-benefits covering me and my tot. YAY! After a year, I will also be re-imbursed for up to 6K I may spend on child care. That works out well because I don't want her in a day care situation before she's a year old.

BUT! She'll never be a year old if she doesn't come out. I feel like I'm going to be pregnant for the rest of my life. She's what doctor's call "engaged" (in position, and ready to go)...but she's not taking the "walk down the aisle." She's apparently got a fear of committment...she already reminds me of her father :) Hopefully the lowered barometric pressure we'll be experiencing with the arrival of Hurricane Gustav, she'll be a little more motivated to commit.

NOTE: I did not answer any other questions from the MM because I choose not to relive the emotions and fears the events of 9/11 stirred in me. I will also be avoiding most 9/11 media coverage no matter how many commercials they aren't airing. I know many other people that feel the same way and for that reason I have chosen to skip this week as a courtesy to myself, really, and also to my readers.

Whelp. No one voted for the 8th...and it's a good thing. STILL no labor. D'oh! Someone DID have a baby though...I imagine the population of China increased another 5% today, but I'm talking about someone I know of. This chick my sister works with, AnnMarie, had a baby boy today. His name is Mateo, although the baby is surprisingly NonSpanish. He was 7.5 lbs and she was in labor for, get this, ONE HOUR. That's right. One hour, folks. It was her second child, not her 15th. One hour...I'm pre-jealous.

Tomorrow is the 9th...we've got a couple votes riding on tomorrow and I'm hoping one of you people is right before we get past the 18th. Every day I go without seeing my beautiful baby girl is another day I have to spend at the lab with Jojo.


One of my fellow Hootresses called me today. Apparently, upon my return to Hooters (that isn't likely to occur), our manager is prepared to offer me a position as a CCT (Certified Corporate Trainer). Oooooh. Two other girls were also promoted to this position, and while I would be interested if I was merely on leave for some OTHER reason, I can't possibly take this into consideration given my circumstances. The only benefit of being a CCT is that when training, CCT's get paid minimum wage + tips, instead of the standard 2.13/hr. But with other CCT's in the restaurant and only 3 training shifts per new girl, how often would that happen? The hours aren't any better...they're actually worse, having to come in at 8 instead of 10 to go over rules and regs. with aspiring new Hootresses. I don't think so. Hooters IS however looking for management and that would be something I would be a lot more willing to consider. The hours aren't that much better, but the pay is (obviously) and the uniform is fun, too: jeans and a Hooters polo!! I suppose I'll have to talk to my manager about this after the store meeting on the 15th...I'll be in attendance if my baby is LATE like I'm now expecting her to be.

Has anyone ELSE noticed that Anna Nicole Smith and her "personal assistant," Kim, are totally gay? Not that there's anything wrong with that (kudos to Seinfeld). But seriously, I was just watching, more like staring at the screen in amazement, and there is no way those two are not sleeping together. Kim is obviously the masculine half of the relationship...from the short haircut with extreme mulletude potential to the tattoo of Anna Nicole she has on her upper arm, I don't know which trait makes her the MOST obvious. I tried to search for articles on the two sort of to see if anyone else had the same opinion I do...but I didn't come across any. Link it over to me if you come across any!

Hi. People that have had at least ONE baby should not make this mistake: let's not tell pregnant women that they look tired. So many people today told me I look tired. Really?? Why would that be? Could it be that I'm 8.5 months pregnant and my contractions hurt really bad and I can't get comfortable EVER and I really can't sleep at night? Noooo. That would just make too much sense. So sorry to the folks that have to see me "look tired" at work. But I get my job done, and in case anyone missed the post where I explained that I was already doing twice as much work as the temps that have been there for months and months, I'm still typing my fingers to nubs every day and management is STILL impressed with me, no matter how tired I am or how tired I look. So there.

Shawn called today. Odd. We still talk on a semi-regular basis, and he's always concerned about how things are going...but usually it's ME calling him when I need something or when I go to the hospital under the misguided impression that I might be in labor. Today he called just to see how I was feeling and how things were. Good boy :)

My baby is hurting me.


Alright. The 5th is almost over and no baby. I'm thinking y'all that voted for the 7th may be close. I'm having pains and my back hurts and gravity feels like it's trying to rob my uterus. Lila is thrashing about like a circus freak, my lower back bones crack everytime I move, and I'm trying to be patient. I'm thinking I should probably pack my hospital bag tonight and put it in my car. This is what I have on my list to take:
My Kennedy book...maybe I can catch a few words between contractions.
2 nightgowns...just in case I have to stay 2 nights.
My robe and some slippers.
Make-up & blowdryer for when I have visitors (this was suggested in my prego book so shut up)...
My Swedish pillow...my mom will have the camera (and so will everyone else)...
What am I forgetting...throw any suggestions in my shoutbox.

Another day gone by...no baby. D'oh! Whoever voted for tomorrow...I hope you're right!! I tried taking a walk today, but I only went down to the mailbox (about a block)....so maybe that wasn't far enough. I'm not willing to try drinking castor oil...and the other option, isn't an option. So...looks like it's up to the baby.

On another note...my dog is cute. He follows me around the house, he's like my own little stalker (that's not an invitation for more, trust me). He goes outside a lot and barks at the neighbors' dogs. The neighbors on the right have a Great Dane and the neighbors on the left have 2 Dobermans. It's not like he's always unprovoked either. They talk. Sometimes the neighbors' dogs will bark until Maxx goes outside to bark back. So why, then, does it seem like the neighbors don't make THEIR dogs ever go inside when the barking becomes unbearable? I'm not the one that thinks it's unbearable, I might add. The neighbors with the Dobermans yell at our dog to shut up and I just heard them kick the fence from their side. What's the deal? Maxx is a little terrier. He's got a lot to prove when he's pitted against not one, but TWO big Dobermans. Dogs bark...and if you don't like, I say "get a cat."

Alright...I had to draw the line somewhere. I spent 15 minutes hitting redial, trying my hardest to cast my vote for Kelly Clarkson. I didn't get through and that's a good sign. Hopefully the rest of America noticed that Justin Guarini has big hair and little talent...alright he's okay, but he's no Kelly.

I have to put in full-time hours tomorrow...no Jojo break, no Dr.'s appt.'s. D'oh. I better go rest up!!


I had my OB appt. today. STILL 2cm. Good thing no one voted for today. My doctor said she is the on-call delivery doc this weekend and I should feel free to take long walks starting Thursday :) Maybe I'll start tomorrow. :) I'm not feelin' it today.

It was nice to take an extended break from work today. Jojo was just about killing me with her stories of previous coworkers of hers that would "steal company time" by eating and talking on the job. Hmmm. If that's not the poo calling the diaper smelly...I don't know what is. Jojo informed me when she was going to "rest" for her 10 minute break. She woke up 15 minutes later and said, "It's funny how I can tell myself I have 10 minutes to rest and my eyes will pop open at 9 minutes." Then she went back to sleep. Sounds like her internal alarm clock came equipped with a snooze button, but no battery back-up. She got cheated.

Blogger seems to be having some problems today.


By this Monday, it really calls for no introduction, but to give credit where credit is due, here, once again is PromoGuy's Monday Mission 2.35: 1. What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you on a date? It wasn't a date, I was out with Shawn while we were still together: We were walking down Atlantic St. in downtown Norfolk. All the way down the street the city had put free publication dispensers and Shawn asked me to grab one or two for him...then he decided he wanted one of each and stood patiently as I obliged...and got stared at by every car driving slowly by...we laughed. Finishing our walk, we headed back to the Marriot parking garage. Still laughing at what a nerd I looked like collecting free magazines, I threw them away in the nearest garbage. Shawn looked so disappointed and said, "But I actually wanted that car mag." I looked from him to the full garbage can that had all the publications resting neatly on top. The "car mag" was conveniently on the top so I figured, 'what the hell?', right? Anyway, JUST as I'm retrieving the car catalog for him the elevator door opens and as the man in the Armani suit is walking out, Shawn, never missing a great opportunity, exclaimed, "Dee! How many times to I have to tell you to stay out of the garbage!?" It was the most embarassing thing ever. But Shawn and I still get a good laugh about how gullible and easy to fool I am. 2. Do you eat your veggies? I love all veggies...except for lima beans. 3. Most people are comfortable going to the bathroom in front of at least one person. Has anyone ever used the restroom in front of you that you wish wouldn't have? What happened and how bad was it? I can't say that has ever happened to me. 4. Have you ever had a bad online transaction? You know, the item wasn't what you thought it would be, you got totally ripped-off, no refunds, it just plain sucked? What's the story there? I'm still waiting on some items I bid on and paid for at ebay. It is a collection of 11 Absolut ads including the Absolut Cleveland ad. It remains to be seen as to the quality, but I'm confident that they'll get here. The seller had nothing but rave reviews. 5. Ever have a current love find any old love letters (or similar item) you kept that probably should have been thrown away? How did that turn out? Shawn found some pictures of Brent and I from a long time ago. It was nothing exciting...just Brent and I embracing. Anyway. I got rid of all those pics. When relationships are over, I really just like to hang on to the memories. Unfortunately, I got rid of all the Shawn stuff before we found out I was pregnant...so I don't have many pictures left for the baby. Oddly enough, 'Shawn the insensitive' still has all the copies...so we're working on getting doubles made. 6. A secretary at work was telling me about a trip she took to Mardi Gras. She showed off her beaded necklaces and proudly said she "earned' each and every one of them. I was shocked, I had no idea this quiet gal had a wild side. Was there ever a time when you did something totally outrageous because you knew no one would know who you were, or maybe didn't care even if they did? Nothing that I can think of at this moment. I get crazy...but not THAT crazy. 7. Hey, what happened to you last night? I waited forever! Actually...there was a Law & Order marathon on TNT. BONUS: I know I could break you down, but what good would it do? Sounds like you're slightly overconfident.

My contractions are 5 minutes apart :) But they aren't intense enough to go to the hospital...I know 'cause I was already there today :) The doctor said he wouldn't be surprised if little Lila shows up within the next week. I would be surprised, but I would also be thrilled. Now's the time to start a baby pool, folks!


Cindy thinks it would be funny if I had the baby on Labor Day. HA. I think it would be nice :) In the book I have, The EVERYTHING Pregnancy Book, it actually says that at about this time, many women get sick of being pregnant. Sick of waiting really...the authors did pretty good research. The longer she waits, the longer I can work and have more and more money for when I'm NOT working, but at the same time...the sooner she gets here, the sooner I can be the mommy :)

It's 10:30...and I'm off to Hooters. Hopefully they gave me the week off and I'm only scheduled next Sunday (last day there!!). If they didn't...I'll have to just quit instead of taking leave. D'oh.
